Eeeeeeeeeeeee! Posted my first story on AO3 today, Oh, wow :D
Scary :-) Fun :-)

Since I've posted four – no, five – no, six pieces of fic in the last months, and I have probably more than ten others I've been working on, and a million bunnies - it was, perhaps, time to admit I do write fanfic :-)

I'll try to be good and update regularly, though going by my fic masterlist and my mostly-theoretical DW account – might not so much... :)

ETA, question: Is there a way to subscribe to a tag or search? Like "praise kink"? Or better yet - crossed with a fandom? Like "shotgunning"/"Supernatural"?

Yay!! I didn't realize you were so new to fic writing. I figured you'd been doing it for other fandoms on a different platform. Is your first fic on LJ your first fic, period?

I use AO3 mostly as an archive/backup for when LJ implodes in the middle of the night and everything I've ever written disappears down the memory hole (and because I need it for certain challenges), but it's interesting to see what's popular and try to guess why. My sense is that fluff and M/M pwp do well, and fluffy M/M pwp does best of all--the fic I've gotten the most comments on is fluffy, porny Sassy. in general there are way fewer comments than on LJ, though, and most of the stuff I post gets none, even when it does well with the kudos. Commenting just doesn't seem to be part of the culture there.

No idea how to subscribe to a tag,but I'd totally subscribe to "shotgunning/Supernatural" if I did.

Thank you!

Pretty much... If I recall, years ago I wrote a few drabbles and such, but maybe only dared to post one or two :) I can't really claim noob status, though, I've written a bunch of original stuff, some of which corresponds with existing texts, RPed as Spike a little, stuff like that. OK, yeah, this is all pretty new to me *blushes*

Ick!
Also, your imagery rocks. I want to hear the rest of that story about the dark, stormy night, in which... history, people's life work, or witten things temporarily disappear from someone's memory? Or something.

it's interesting to see what's popular and try to guess why

LOL
That's one of the first things I did there. Haven't figured out anything yet, but spent a while today looking at hit counts for people's stories and trying to guess what made that tick :)
Geeks unite!

Not so much shocking :)

I guess the ability to leave kudos is an alternative to trying to figure out what to say. Kudos is quick and easy, and doesn't involve wondering what, if at all, to write, when your feedback is maybe "I would have really enjoyed this fic, had you not squicked me with your version of consent" ;)

No idea how to subscribe to a tag,but I'd totally subscribe to "shotgunning/Supernatural" if I did.

IKR? :D
It's one of those lovely, lovely kinks there's not nearly enough of.

I'm gonna go ahead and imagine that when you write that sequel for your beautiful Raining, it's gonna include some of that.
The most awkward, deliciously angsty shotgunning ever written, perhaps ;)

BTW, Have you rea dAll I Wanna Do is Make a Mess Out of You? Cause... gnujonlkm... YES.
