So, some
(white, cis, normative)
gay
rights site snagged a piece of Wincest fanart, unaware, for one of their banners.
IDK whether to inform the artist (PotatoCrisp), or bitch about people finding it funny, or laugh.

This is kinda offensive several times over - stealing art and fan culture, changing the agenda, and it being so obvious they wouldn't promote a consensual incestuous relationship - it's like if a wedding site accidentally used a picture of a butch/femme lesbian wedding - how offensive would the horror at that be.

Date: 2015-05-23 02:54 pm (UTC)A real, live hospital (and I can't remember the name, now) has, on its website, a picture from Show of Sam and Dean (from the tv episode, when they were Dr. Sexy doctors?) up on its wall. Like 'look, we have hunky doctors!' Hilarious and ridiculous. Someone out there in fandom probably still has a link.
But, yes - please tell the artist. I dunno why organizations, political groups, all sorts of websites, think they can just randomly snag stuff off the internet and it means nothing.
Also, if you link the site here, some fandom peeps could also (politely) tell them that that is copywrited fanart and they need to take it down. The more the merrier!
