Clearly a much bigger question than I thought. Not sure if I should apologise for bringing up some upsetting memories although there seems to be some good ones there too. Letting go of pets and not being able to rescue every stray that crosses our paths is always tough. I take it you don't have any pets at the moment?

No, no current pets, not sure I ever want pets, though I miss some aspects of those relationships. I'd rather not do that ATM, I don't have what it takes to give and shouldn't commit to that .

Well, I think knowing when you're not able to take care of pets and thus making the decision not to have any is a very responsible, caring thing. <3
