Writing meme

Snagged from [livejournal.com profile] balder12

I haven't finished and posted that much fic, so perhaps I'll answer about writing in general, if I don't have a good enough fic answer.

Put a number in the comments and I’ll answer accordingly. The mission for those of us who answer the questions, should we accept it, is to stay positive about our writing and ourselves, but to also be fair about our shortcomings.

1. Of the fic you’ve written, of which are you most proud?
2. Favorite tense
3. Favorite POV
4. What are some themes you love writing about?
5. What inspires you to write?
6. Thoughts on critique
7. Create a character on the spot... NOW!
8. Is there a character you love writing for the most? The least? Why?
9. A passage from a WIP
10. What are your strengths in writing?
11. What are your weaknesses in writing?
12. Anything else that you want to know... (otherwise known as Fill in the Blank)

Oh nose.
Can I interest you in some faults, instead?
(I know where your blog is, [livejournal.com profile] balder12! I'll come over and make you do the same!)
:-)

OK, here goes :-)

I am often good at giving room for and hopefully describing tactile, sensual things. Textures, colors, light, smell, I used to write those a lot.

I try to find unusual angles or ideas - and those are often what temps me into writing. Even if/when I don't go through with the execution, chances are, if I'm writing, I'm trying out a less common interpretation, plot, characterization, kink, pairing (yeah, right), format, something.

Or, the other thing that gets me writing, is expressing something of myself, that's often raw and messy - and I try to be very honest - as honest as I can, about it. There is still a way for me to go on that one, and then managing to make it coherent and arranged is - often beyond me - but still that part rocks, I think and believe :)
This complements the previous thing - cause I often think.feel tings that are not quite the usual thing, so. I rock , with that :-)

And - when I write characters that already exist, I put attention and care, and effort, into getting to know them, love them, their gestures, their ways... that often messes with my writing, it's hard and mixes me up sometimes. I have a bunch of partially-written fic I can't finish cause I can't imagine Sam doing things, or Dean doing things, that I;ve read in other people's fic and been OK with... *And* it doesn't always even come across, and sometimes I feel like I'm having a conversation with myself... but the good side of it is, that I sometimes can capture truths, or possible truths about the characters that are worth looking at. And that is cool.

OK. OK, OK, I did this. I ROCK! :-)
Thanks for asking! < 3
