The whole vessel thing I think is probably less of an issue for Cas than it is for Sam and Dean. Without a vessel, Cas couldn't have even been seen on earth. So while the Winchester's recoil violently - hence the guilt Dean has rn - I think Cas goes, okay; I don't think he always thinks about the implications of something that is normal for angels.
