SPN community recs?

I'm getting REALLY tired of Livejournal. I really miss having places to talk fandom , meta, character analysis, writing and so forth, with people, based on having a shared interest and not necessarily on having known each other for years. And that's not to say I don't like people or want to get to know them, I do. Really. But for now, I haven't known anybody here very long, and being the new kid sucks, particularly in this format of non-discussion.

Are there any communities that are more about discussion?
Any other platforms where that happens?
Something?
