Now I want this fic

This beautiful drawing of Sam reminded me of the ballroom scene from Labyrinth.

Now I want non-crack Supernatural/Labyrinth stories. The most obvious would be, oh, teen Dean getting so fed up and miserable he unintentionally wishes Sammy Away, then needs to get through the labyrinth before Sam's turned into a goblin, and before dad gets home.

On the other hand, It wouldn't be the first time something evil stalked Sam, wanted him, courted him, waited. I can definitely see young Sam hating Dean so much at a specific moment, for something like treating Sam like a kid, or following dad blindly, or just being his annoying self, that he'd wish him gone. I'd love to see Sam go through the labyrinth, his switching between cold logic and strong emotions, compassion and friendliness towards the creatures who live there, perhaps with a little satisfaction to be taking the side of the monsters, the way dad wouldn't. I love stories in which Sam saves Dean, and I sort of want Sam feeling pretty in that dress, dancing with Jareth.

I'd love to see the scene in which Sarah was sent back to a fake version of her room, the way it would be for either of them, Or for Charlie. What would the temptation to stay be? Sam might get sent to that Thanksgiving dinner, Dean might be back in a motel room, cleaning his/dad's gun, getting a small word of praise from John... hm. Needs work.

Anyway, this can also work with Charlie (saving Dean? Or someone we don't know yet?), or Veronica Mars, or J2. Or the Winchesters just storming the castle, not your usual kind of hunt.

ETA: Sam finding himself in front of that curved, smooth border of his dream bubble, looking around of something large - he not one to just accept limitations - tossing a friggin chair through the edge of that world, calling "Dean!", like he always does when Dean's in danger, for no practical reason beyond maybe grounding or reassuring himself, as if he wants to physically hear the connection

[Trying to cross post this on DW. Hope that works]
