Re defriending

Some people on my flist are making defriending statements, so in case this is a thing, just know - I'm pretty sure I don't even have a notification for defriending, I kinda trust people I consider friends to talk with me if they want to, and then people on my flist with whom I never got to really communicate - if I have no history with you and don't know who you are, I'm probably not gonna be broken up over you leaving, if you like...

Anyway, I seriously wouldn't want people who don't want to be friended with me to stay there. I've often thought that friending on friend memes and such and then some people feeling stuck forever was probably not the best method. If we've actually talked and gotten to know each other some, I would appreciate an honest conversation/note, though I'd probably prefer for a person to leave without a note than stay without wanting to... either way - seriously - I don't like the LJ concept of having to be friends. Please defriend if you want to.

Emma Watson's UN Speech

In case anybody missed Emma Watson's UN speech, I rec it. I disagree with some of her opinions within feminism, but she is so fantastic, and also moving. There's been some bad backlash , because of course.
