I think I remember when he mentioned Show (in regards to the campaign) he said something like 'We deal with suicide, but in a Supernatural way', or something along those lines, so when I watched last night I guess I expected more of a tie to "suicide" than what felt like just another MOTW ending themselves in a really creepy way. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad the (suicide) death count wasn't higher, but I agree that the campaign and Show weren't as simpatico as I believed they would be. My thoughts, were that since Show did reference suicide, it was fresh on his mind, and he brought it up so that anyone dealing with thoughts of self-harm didn't get thrown under the bus, especially when they've possibly just opened up about their struggles.
In a shorter sense (because apparently I'm very talkie today ;D), I believe he meant it in a more generalized way, and not the specific/technical aspects of the episode... :)
